Most forms of link building provide long lasting backlinks, for example commenting on a blog post, you'll have that backlink until the blog is closed and the page removed, so it's always best to build backlinks on websites, well which aren't going to be anywhere. Couple of ideas are digg, ezinearticles, goarticles, warriorforum etc.

Hello you should research your niche competition and take a look at their backlinks. Sometimes there is a lot of great information located in your competitions backlinks.

Also directory submissions are awesome and usually stick around forever.

    Thanks

  • Buy your own domains (preferably dropped domains with backlinks and PageRank), and start writing articles to your site.

If you control the domain, the link won't turn to dofollow, won't get deleted, etc.

Considering domains can be as low as $10, for me this is a great value. Plus you can then sell links on your new site to other people, ie PayPerPost.com

For permanent backlinks you can use so many sources. Like directory, forums, blogs, squidoo lens and hubpages etc. But every where links should not seem like you're spamming so that chances of deletion would be less. For directory it could take much time for approval but once your link gets approval you can stay over there for long time. Another way is to get links from niche sites. The process might be time consuming but that type of links are really good.

i don't agree if blog commenting is a permanent backlink...because many of dofollow blog has been changed to nofollow because of spam.(that's not permanent)

web 2.0 it's now become very tight especially if you drop a link(deleted faster)

Forum is also not good option because many forum has been spamming to death and change their atribut "nofollow" and manual register by forum administrator

The best choice for build permanent backlink are :
    1.article directory
    2.directory submission
    3. blog directory
    4.create your own link network.

I do not think bookmarking is a good way to build link. Most of the bookmarking systems like delicious use nofollow for their links. Am I right?

There is no such thing as a permanent backlink.

Blogs and forums are cleared out on a regular basis.

      Websites go under and offline.

Your backlinks will never be forever.

That's why backlinking is an ongoing business, unless
you have a website that will withstand the test of time.

Your only "permanent" backlinks, maybe, would be links on
your own domains that you plan to keep "forever."

And you can never tell google to keep a backlink. Eventually,
backlinks become irrelevant and devalued by google.

Despite what everyone else is saying in this thread, the only true way to build permanent backlinks is to put links on sites that you own (whether you build new ones or buy existing ones). Every other type of link can be taken down. The internet is a very flulid place.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't use other types of links, as I use all types of links....but you asked about permanent links, and there is really only 1 type of those.

I must agree with you Tom, building own network is very expensive, but if you had the resources to do so, I think it worth the time and effort in long term.

Having said that, you still need tons of other backlinks, permanent or not is really not the question, the question is how long lasting those link would stay.

As long as any links would stay more than a year, I won't have any complaints...

Squidoo is getting very picky, they removed my content for no obvious reasons, I don't use them anymore...

In theory, you control your site, but in fact, they can remove your content - anytime.

Neither of these are even remotely permanent. Your site/article can be removed at the will of the owners of those domains.

These are all the ways that I create backlinks to my sites:
        • submission to search engines
        • submission to web directories
        • submission to rss feed directories
        • linkwheels
        • do follow blog commenting
        • article marketing
        • social bookmarking
        • viral blog memes
        • blog carnivals
        • forum posting
        • blog reviews
        • submission to youtube and other video sites
These are just few ways. There are many other ways, however many depend on the type of site.

        Good luck!

Actually, as they are privately owned sites, they can (and sometimes do), delete articles/sites for any reason they want, or for no reason whatsoever. Who knows, the article directory might just sell of the site or decide to not renew their domain.

The OP asked about "permanent" backlinks, and none of these are permanent.

Create your own (safe and powerful) link network.

It's a little expensive (different IP's, lot's of unique articles) but in the end it pays off along with the usual methods described above.

What I would recommend to get permanent links is to find webmaster friendly sites such as forums, blogs, etc. Try to contribute and build signature links or comment links without being spammy. Avoid automation, and spread your links out over time and all of these things can help them stick.

the best way is submitting articles which will be affected by the tags, header of article and its content, and as long as the content is rich then people will read it more there for it lasts forever

    Hi,

The concept behind back links is when your internet site is supplying quality information, then other sites will connect to yours, thus growing your recognition and ranking one of the search engines like google, particularly Google, thus improving your traffic.

    - Naturally. I am sure you've probably heard it before, but have helpful quality content in your site, this way individuals will connect to it naturally. However this can help none if you are a novice or perhaps your site doesn't have recognition whatsoever yet. It will not simply take off by itself obviously, but this can be a very effective method afterwards when your better established.

    - Forum and Blog comments. Possibly you realize of the forum or blog which has exactly the same general category as yours. Place your blog inside your forum signature and respond to some posts in individuals forums. For blogs, just publish a discuss typically the most popular ones and in some way incorporate your URL. Google indexes forums and blog comments, so these back links are valuable as lengthy because the forum or blog you published was relevant and popular.

    - You can submission article to EzineArticles.com, Buzzle.com, goarticles.com and SearchWarp.com

For me, directory submission is the best way to get permanent links. Though, it will take some time for your link to get approved especially if you are only using the free review, but once you get approved, your links are very useful.
