Hi all,

just wondering if this is a common problem. My website has been online for almost a year, and I have been slowly building backlinks. I finally reach a PR of one for the main index and 2 for the long tailed keyword in a deeper linked page. Today I don't have an Alexa rank and even though there are 500+ BL to my inside page, it doesn't even have a page rank.

Just curious to see if anybody else has the same problem.

There were times in the past that I channeled Google for the majority of my ads.

I promise it will never happen again.

It'd be funny if I didn't lose so much money from their antics.

The google slap will come and go to your website, or to your competitors websites.

Thats why it is important that you don't pull all your eggs in 1 basket as far as traffic generation is concerned

    Guys,

They've been updating and changing things for months now. This is not a new update as we know them to be. It used to be that we could count on when PR updates would happen, but because they are constantly changing, tweaking or adjusting their new algs, we can't adjust either.

I've learned a long time ago that it's much like working the stock market - you have to know when to leave things alone and when to sell out. In this case, I've been leaving things alone and simply posting new content on the same schedule I've been doing, and noticed that most of my sites bounce back to where they originally were.

Wow! I guess I consider myself lucky. I went from a PR2 to a PR4. No increase in links and no increase in traffic. SO I am scratching my head.

    Hmmmmm

What shall I do with this short-fall? Sell it? Add some links to it?
