what is the best way to get backlinks?

We know that there are various ways to get backlinks to our sites. Such as,
Blog commenting, Forums postings, Social bookmarks, Directory submissions, Article submissions, inner links from high PR domains and etc.
Out of all these things, what are(is) the best way(s) to get more backlinks?

    Well in my opinion the best way might not be the easiest way... I think the best way to get back links is to create content where people naturally want to link to you. These I feel are the best links you can get.

    As far as easiest I'd go with blog, classified ad, and forum links.

    A good way to get some good links and build a prescence is to go out and build a few microblogs on other websites. This means setting up a squidoo lens, a hubpages hub, and so forth.

    Submitting a nice piece of content to ezinearticles will help, not only by giving you a nice link, but if the article is enticing enough others will publish it and link to you as well
