Hello warriors, i have some question regarding to KW research with Market Samurai

There is a niche which is "housing" service for exchange students in my country.I research with MS this niche i found some intresting keywords for my country, the problem is that most of my top 10 competition has the keyword in a sub category like:

http://www.travel..whatever.com/countries/mycountry

this sites have high PR 5 and thousands of Domain Backlinks, put very little Page backlinks... it is possible to rank over them because of their low page backlinks? or still very difficult?

The Page backlinks have low PR equal and less than 4.

You can outrank any site with enough backlinks... I can't say more because I need to know the keyword competition and top 10 result before drawing the conclusion.

The question is not if you can outrank, but how long...

You should be able to easily outrank these websites, while their pagerank is high, that is purely from some half decent internal linking and a high pagerank domain name, obviously it'll be harder then competing agisant websites without the high pagerank/high pagerank domain name, but it's definitly still possible.

Each of those pages is a inner-page to a website, building a website directed around the keyword would be quite easy to over-rank these pages, as in the eyes of Google, your website is better for that keyword, because it's a website dedicated to the keyword and contains a lot of targetted information about this keyword.

You'll of course still need to build backlinks to the domain name, not just basic social bookmarking and what not, obviously you need to do this with any website, it's not going to be amazingly hard for you to rank for this keyword, just some good SEO, a lot of backlinks and of course, some high quaitly links. I'd definitly suggest deep-linking a lot of the backlinks your going to be building, also look into other keywords your website can rank for releated in this niche.

I agree - it's not going to be that hard to outrank them - even easier if you have the keywords in the domain name, but still not so bad if you don't.

Just make sure to do the proper on page SEO - you can see hardly anyone is optimizing for it. And, of course you need the backlinks!
