Out of the 25 sites I own, I pay the $300/year for my top two.
Yahoo started out as a directory and portal, not as a search engine.
They have pushed their directory so far in the background that most visitors would have a hard time finding it. I'm sure they have done this because they want to compete with G as a search engine.
If Yahoo listing the primary directory categories on their home page, I would likely spend the $300/year for more sites.
Yahoo- Stop trying to compete with Google and get back to basics!
