my niche is "fat loss" i know this is probably the most saturated niche there is...i have a genuinely different product than all the rest (not promoting anything here) its just unique and offers real value...its not another e-book or anything like that...

i guess my question is: can the small player make money in a WELL saturated niche if his product is good value to the customer?...or am i better off fishing in smaller ponds?

im thinking: lots of competition=big market and i could probably get some established people to sell my product (affiliate marketing)?

i would really appreciate your input on this...

Saturated... I think weight loss is highly competitive, but not saturated!

You can still make money with any competitive niche, it depends on how you want to enter the market.

The key here is simple - You need to build reputation, relationship to enter these kind of market. Yes, you still can sell few products without list, however, list building is the way to go.

First of all, if you are selling your own product, you need affiliate to help you. Before going to affiliate, I think you need to position yourself in your niche.

There are many types of weight loss market:

    1. Diet
    2. Exercise
    3. Ebook
    4. Equipment
    5. Medication

    Sub niches like:

    1. Weight loss Pregnancy
    2. Weight loss before wedding
    3. Abs Exercises at home
    4. Burn fat exercises at home
    5. Effortless Diet with fast food...

    And many more...

You're correct that fat loss is a tough market, one of the hardest.

It's great that you have a great product, however, that won't be nearly enough to compete with the big boys. If you can swing it, hire a really good copywriter and provide tons of verifiable proof that your product works.

Once you have got your conversion numbers, start approaching people with JV offers because you're right, really competitive markets mean plenty of others to work with (just like in internet marketing, real estate, and how to pick up women niches).
