Published a Squidoo Lense But No Traffic

Hello Warriors,

I heard hundred of people making good money using squidoo + clickbank and the last week I decided to give it a try.

So, I made my first lense (I can't paste here the address - I would violate the forum rules - check my signature) and now I'm trying to increase its traffic.

That lense has been online for 5 days but just 2 people visited it. In your opinion is because of its of poor quality?

I read some guides on improving the rank of a squidoo lense, but I'm not sure what works and what not.

This is what I already did:

I submitted my lense to many squidoo directories.

I create a new blog and I made a link to that lense.

I wrote an article and published it on goarticles.com - waiting for them to approve it. I couldn't use Ezine because thay said "we are unable to accept your article, as we are no longer accepting articles that discuss or link to any website offering movie, television, music, and game downloads or streaming content with unknown legal status in regards to copyright."

Well, my ranking is still 0 (os similar)!

I was wondering if anyone using squidoo + clickbank, or also a seo, could give me some suggestions on how to improve backlink to my lense and so how to improve the overall ranking.

Thank you

I can see that you try to promote PSP downloads...I know there are good money in it, but too many scams!

I think that's why ezinearticles.com doesn't accept those articles anymore.

If you want to use Squidoo, you need to research more long tail keywords, because long tail keywords that result in exact match of 5000 can rank well in ezinearticles.com, I think they are the same at Squidoo.

If the keyword of your article is too competitive, you need more back links.

Try to learn some "BUM marketing methods", it helped you with ezinearticles and squidoo...

I'd guess that 5 days isn't long enough to develop traffic for most lenses. Keep at it and give it more time.

Dude, having the Lens and a bit of Seo is simply not enough

you have to drive the traffic from an external source also, Squidoo loves that...

My Lens has been up for 2 weeks, 165 visits and a cool amount of sales

Ranked 33 in business and around #700 overall

you know why? Article marketing and Bookmarking

Get in touch if you want me to go through in a bit more detail

    Cheers

Wow, Alex, #700 overall in 2 weeks. That's fantastic. Give us the link so we can go there and boost your traffic.

Here's a couple of mine and I could use the boost, too:
Learn To Fly - Complete Guide to Becoming a Pilot
Garmin 430 GPS - Learn Aviation GPS

Of course, mine are way down in the rankings. Nothing close to the success of yours. WTFG. - Russ

Nope, I let Squidoo take whatever adwords income is generated and donate to charity. I mainly use these to drive traffice to my main sites.

Driving traffic to the lens? Excellent question, but I don't do any. Google seems to be putting the GPS lens pretty high up in the searches, but the other one doesn't seem to show up at all. Reminds me, I should check to see if they have both pages indexed.

Thank you all for your answer.

kkchoon1, I did a quick research on google and I sow that there are about 2,640,000 results for [mykeywords] . (the keyword I chose with the exact match ).As far as I know, the bum marketing method is related to write article and publish them on article directory.

Without using Ezine, as I can't publish that kind of article on it, would be possible to rank my lense in the first or second page of google organic results? Could you also give me a rough estimate of how many article I will need to write?

Write-stuff, I'll wait other days, but I think I need to do something more than just wait for seeing an increase of traffic :-)

Alexshelton, driving traffic from an external source? Interesting; I sent you a PM.

Thank you all for your answer
