Anybody outsource their SEO and get #1 results??

I'm curious how much outsourcing the SEO on a couple of my sites would cost to have it done by someone who gets #1 results.

I see a lot of offers for SEO but I don't know who's good and who's not..

Does anyone have experience with outsourcing their SEO to someone who got them number #1 on Google?

And if so .. what price range does something like that cost?

    Hi Dave

    Anyone who promise's you #1 on Google without knowing what keywords you are going for usually hasn't got a clue.

    There are many ranking factors involved, including onsite SEO, domain name, number of backlinks needed etc..

    The more competition you have for the keyword the harder to rank therfore costing you more.

    There's lots of great outsourcers here that will help you increase your rankings, but John was right, nobody with a clue will promise you spot #1 ; Especially without doing some in depth analysis first. I'd work on just getting to the first page, before you worry about spot one. It's a whole other ball game.

    I would be extremely wary of people offering top of page 1 google seo work, there are so many scammers in this industry nowadays, it's better to learn what works for yourself and then do that without relying on anyone external.

      This is completely false. I work full-time as an SEM/SEO Consultant and anybody with an ounce of skill will wave you goodbye if you don't want to pay you a fee upfront. That's a crazy way of doing business, no matter what profession, or industry, you are in. It's a surefire way to bankrupt yourself and your business.

      My advice to you is ask for a strategy document or consultancy session first. You will pay a fee, but the information is transferable and you will be able to gauge if that person/company is the right one for you (without getting stuck in a contract).

      As others have said, avoid any #1 claims. Ultimately we do not have control of the third-party sites like search engines, and therefore we cannot possibly guarantee a ranking.

    We do SEO and we have a great offer but you always must pay up front and monthly, cause SEO is an ongoing thing, dont let others tell you otherwise. We charge $399 for 300 keywords and give you a monthly report starting the 2nd month, cancel anytime. Its best this way cause you can see the monthly results of your keywords and if you dont you stop paying us. No one can guarantee top spots, but we do set it for you to realize we are great at what we do and if we feel like we cant get you what you need, we dont take the client.

    It all depends on how competitive the niche and keyword sets are...

    Easy markets you can reach 1st page by anchoring links in Craigslist ads. Tough markets might take more than 12 months or work + strategy and you still may not get to where you want to be...
