Buy Backlinks or Buy Backlink Packages?

No one wants to talk about their own experience or lack of experience buying backlinks because to outright buy backlinks is against Search Engine's policies.

So lets just say (ahem) that you have come across sites that you know have bought backlinks (by buying backlinks I am not talking about packets which is just the information/system of where you can place a backlink but instead actual links usually on a page with high PR). What have you noticed is their experience when they purchase backlinks?

You have to have DEEP pockets to buy backlinks from HIGH Pr pages but the sites do tend to rank (at least for awhile and in many cases much longer) highly.

Lower prices to me is a mine field as invariably the seller sells too many links and then is categorized as a link farm and then all the links go poof.

Would you consider buying backlinks? (this is not a solicitation I never intend on offering that particular service). I run away from the WSOs that promise hundreds of links on their blogs (again not blog commenting or profile backlinks which I obviously do) because to me its only a matter of time given the volume before the sites and entire network get identified as link farms.

Whats been your - err...the sites you notice - experience when they go this route?

Attempted to buy a PR 6 link that was supposedly an exclusive link on a relevant site, and $130 later I got a spam blog comment. Requested a refund....got told to GFMS more or less. A great experience!

But But ... it was an "in content" link! LOL

sorry to make light of your bad experience, and yes that SUCKS.

      Was the $130 a one time fee - monthly - annual ?

Ive .... ahem .... "read about" link brokers doing on page PR5 links at like $50 a month.

There's guys building product based OS / Ebay / Amazon affiliate auto-splogs that can get some PR 3-4-5 [ never seen a PR6 one- but enough profile links and maybe? ]

Gotta wonder what a few 100 PR3-4 sites like that would be worth at 3 blogroll links or a static in content home page link - lets see.

      300 sites x 3 links on home page = 900

      $15 a month per link? 900 x $15 pr month ? = $13,500

Yes Thats the russian roulette of buying links as well. Whose to say if you get them, where they will really be placed or for how long they will stay.

But isn't there any risk for the high PR sites that sell links? I heard that they can get punished.

And could you kindly tell me how google can find out that you are buying or selling links?

Yes they can get punished. it is hard to prove. Usually the sites that get nailed made it a bit to obvious by taking too many unrelated links or links from sites that are known to buy links.

or doing things like putting the links in a column that says "paid links" or "sponsored links".
