    as for the name I don't think it says anywhere official what it is called, but I would say it would almost certainly be put in the sandbox, surely if you weren't a newb you would know this?! the trick is to build them up slowly and over time.

      How much is too many for you? Would 3k links in the first 2 weeks being up be too much for you?

      IMHO, people put WAY too much thought into this whole speed thing. Build the backlinks that you need to rank well and let Google do your thing. It works for my sites.
