Hi Warriors, i have a site which has been indexed months ago and also doing well in the search engine with the primary keyword, and today i realized that the home page is gone from the SE (google) result when i perform exact search on the domain, but the sub pages from this site is still in the google index page.

Is this means the site is being banned? But why it is still showing my sub pages in the index?

Looking for your advice.

Simon

I just replied to somebody else's topic with the same answer for this question. If you can find your website using site:domain.com, your not sandboxed, it's just the google dance, if you cannot find your website, then you are sandboxed, either way the best way to tackle this problem, carry on building backlinks, updating your content like normal, if anything you should put some more effort into content/backlinks.

    Hi there

No it doesnt mean your banned !

I wouldnt panic just yet, give it a bit of time, check nothing has changed, make sure ur htaccess file hasnt been tampered with and ur homepage code etc

I dont agree with the sandboxed theory posted above either sorry. There are many reasons why this could happen to say its just one thing without anymore information is just not correct !

Have you made any other changes to your site ??

In fact 9 times out of 10 your homepage will just return as its not unusal for pages to disapear now and again, Ive had it myself recently and i too was wondering the same. Chances are if ur subpage is still in Google then your fine, as if you had got banned or filtered then none of ur pages would show when u do a search for your website name.

It will come back sometime. It's normal for sites to disappear like that even if they've been in Google for a long time.

If the Google bot is still coming around you're not banned. Check your logfiles, I use Awstats that comes free with many hosting packages.

P.S. Don't check on the first few days of the month or you might suffer a heart attack before you realize it's only been a few days so the bot hasn't visited yet.
