Question about ranking high with clickbank affiliate link

The domains where the landing page is on have usually backlinks. I found a clickbank product and used SEO SpyGlass against the main domain and discovered that it had about 2000 backlinks. Suppose many of them are very powerful.
So I wonder for ranking high with my own affiliate link to the product I should create backlinks for my own affiliate link. And at the same time I get the benefit from all the backlinks to the main domain. So the combination of the domain backlinks and my deep backlinks make my affilate link apppear high in Google SERP?
