A Comment Backlink Questions

I saw many blogs using Word Press. When you leave a comment and your website, the link will be added on your name. I think, it is not helpful on your keyword backlinks, isn't it? If it is, how can I get my keyword linking juice in my comment?

Another question is, some people leaves a link directly in his comments, is that kind of spamming?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hi Gamefan.

    - Your name can be your target keyword
    - Even if you don't have your target keyword in the name field it's still a link at the end of the day.
    - It's not necessarily spammy if you contribute to the article rather than just stuff the comment with info about your site.

Spend a minute or two writing a useful comment rather than something rubbish.

I do alot of blog commenting myself and what I normally put is something like this in the "Name" box:

    Name @ Keyword

So mine would look like something like this:

    James @ Dog Training Tips

I ain't no SEO Guru by the way but I find this works wonders for me, not just because it has your keyword in it but it's got your name in it as well which gives it a more human feel meaning your comment has a higher stick rate.

...Providing your comment isn't spammy of course

That's a good idea. From Google point of view, your keyword is in your link. From the blog owner's view, you put your name there.

You can put keyword in name box and if the link you put in comment is related to your comment, you can leave it.

Make sure that if you're doing this, the blog you're posting to has the "do follow" plugin activated. You can also go to the DoFollow directory and find blogs there that fit your topic. This works well for getting more comments on your own blog, as well as getting traffic from other sites.

Thanks for your kind remind. But I'll add some "no follow" comments. That will make my comments looks more "natural". :p

Yeah, I know that. I'm looking for a way to be accepted by Google and blog owners. Thanks for your answer.
