Just wondering what experiences and results you have had with the number of adsense ads you use.

Im wondering if its better to have 1 or 2 adsense ads per page?

And I currently have 1 ad at the top just below each blog post title but should I be placing a 2nd ad as well somewhere?

If so where should I place it, at the bottom of the article or in the middle (within the post)??

Finally what plugin would allow me to automatically ad adsense adds in the middle of every article entry. I currently use maxbannerads but dont think it allows you to do that?

Thanks

I think putting a skyscraper adsense widget in a sidebar under your important stuff converts my adsense up to 5x.

It catches the scrollers in case they don't find what they want high on your page or post.

And adsense is pretty good at putting up relevant ads so even people who just want information will give you some doe when they scroll down and don't find what they want.

I used to struggle with the top 728x90.
I listened to all the pundits, put the big rectangle on
the sidebar, still struggled. I kept hearing less is more.

Until I found out that the highest paying ads are not shown
first, but the highest performing ads.

Someone here showed a site, school-grants.org

I said, man that's it. I now have copied that site.

    My adsense has taken off.

Obviously, it is not the same as a blog, but I would still
put that 160x600 skyscraper top of sidebar, then
probably a large rectangle at the end of the post.

I do believe that more is more, not less. And like that site
above, I have switched to link title color to be the same as
the main color of the header image.

edit: I see someone also seconded the skyscraper above.
