Google now integrating its own Google Health service into your search results, I came across this today thought I would post it , not sure how this will affect the health niche! but it does not look good for some in this area.

Cheers

I don't think it will effect all that much, think of it as a possible source of backlinks if they make it interactive. Backlink from a PR10 site that directly relates to six pack abs would be awesome.

Health is a popular niche. Google probably has lots of stats on that. In addition to searches, who knows how much data they may have on health and other niches because of webmasters that stick Google Analytics on their sites to track everything.

So many people never seem to question why Google would offer something like that for free...

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

If you look at all of Google's properties - from expansion of the Google.com domain to health, Youtube, Knol, HubPages, etc., it is clear their ultimate goal is not to be a search engine pointing to content on other sites, but to be the destination for all information searches.

Google has such a conflict of interest running its affiliate network, both against merchants and affiliates, and apparently anyone who wants to stay ahead of Google properties by paying for an Adwords slot, it's ridiculous. It is inevitable that more lawsuits will be filed and I foresee someday a company compelled to break into parts to separate search from content.
