Checking Google USA ranking from other countries...

I was just wondering...

For those not living in USA, how do you check for your ranking as though you are living in USA?

I have SEO for Firefox plugin where it allows me to toggle the USA flag at the bottom left of the browser. I wonder if that gets me USA based results.

How do you do it?

people keep talking about proxies, firefox plugin's etc

it all sounds like too much work to me

      here's the easy way

      go to google.us

or when you're on the google home page for your country just move the mouse around, then under the search bar you should see a link to google.com

at least that is the case when you're on google.co.uk

but going to google.us is the easiest way

Problem with your method is google uses different data centres to serve results so you might be in The US and i might be in uk we could but be on google.com or google.us and we would get totally different results, this has been tried and tested.
