Article Marketing Advice for Newbie~

Hello Everyone~

Im pretty new to online marketing and pretty much learning as I'm going along and I am in charge with the article marketing program, which I suggest we do for backlinks and building traffic to the homepage.

So here is the way I was planning this program: I would hire interns who are majoring in marketing & advertising and each intern would write contents with backlinks to post to different article directories.

When I was interning for an online company before the position I am in now, I was taught to write an original article content and then basically reword, rephrase the article to make it look different fromthe original, do it about 5 times and then post it up on different directories.

But then I read a thread post here on WF to not to do that and should write original content for each directory you are submitting to. That in the long, original content will pay off instead of spinoffs? What do you guys think?

I'd love some feedback on the program, what I should do with the content, any advice and information would be much appreciated! This is the first time I'm doing this and I"M FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:confused:

Spinning is not bad since it will make your article look different from the others and you will also get back link for it. In some cases, spinning does not work too well, some article directory can spot it.

I'm not against spinning at all and have done it myself on many an occasion but I have to say that writing a unique article for every directory would be the best choice. It all depends on where you want to spend your time/money.

I think it's been proven here many times that you can rank duplicate articles never mind spun ones.

That's how it is now, but how will it be in the future?

Should you even bother spinning them or just syndicate the same article.

How much do you gain by spinning the article anyway?

Those are the questions you need to ask yourself.

What you should really do is test out which works best. Take some and spin them and then take some and totally rewrite them. See which method brings you more traffic and go with that.

    • I don't see anything wrong with rewriting or rephrasing an article. Maybe you can use copyscape if it is your major concern. But now-a-days articles are being thrown around everywhere. Someone may take YOUR article off your site - rearrange it and submit it to directories anyway without you knowing.

But I won't stress that too much.

I found one of my articles from Articlesbase on another site. They spun the first paragraph (poorly I might add) but they kept the bio links in place. I don't worry about it much because it's on a site that will probably fold in a few months anyway.

I'll definitely take your advice and try both to see which on is better. Thank you!
