Adsense question - how does this happen?

I'm new to adsense and I've placed the code for a couple of the plain text 250X350 boxes (4 ads per box) on each page of my 3 page website about a month or so ago.

They (Google) found me ok, but I'm getting a bit irritated that they see fit to place a picture ad in place of the 4 texts ads I opted for.

My niche is the financial one, with plenty of advertisers, so when the ads appear as picture ads, AND one of them promoting "green" energy

- to add insult to injury - it rather p*sses me off...

I'm keyword optimized nicely too.

Anyone know what's going on?

Ian, you should have the option to make your ads strictly text, strictly picture, or a combination of both....

One other question, though....

Beyond articles we've written....if we wrote books, as well...would you recommend uploading them and showing potential buyers that work, as well?

adsense is not a very easy tool to use, take the time to read the guidelines. You should be able to select the type of content text/ images

  To change your ads which show banners, login to your AdSense account, then navigate to "Manage Ads", there you select your ad and have option to change from text ads to banner ads and vice versa.

Adsense is really good plan in which you can earn upto 10,000$ per month.Its really nice and good thing.I am also doing this on my website.

  Hi Mark - Depending upon one's budget and plan etc etc, the earnings are potentially limitless. How much p/m are you earning from this? a figure to the nearest thousand will be ok , do you have a good strategy?

  I have found that moving the ads around on the site can result in increases in click-throughs, it helps because people will often become ad blind, so occasionally changing it up can help.

This generally happens, when one dont take the effort to go through the guidelines and "read me", adsense is one of the easiest of ad programs where setting up is a breeze, i have seen other advertisers where setting up will take so much of effort and time that over a period of time you give it up
