Homepage Missing From SERP

Hello,

I have 2 websites and they both have the same problem. Both of the pages have been indexed by Google but neither of the site's homepage show in the site:******.com search. When I do the site:*****.com seach it shows everything else on my site except the homepage itself. There are no other versions of my homepage displayed. For both site searches the Contact us page is the first thing showing. As search for my domain name produces nothing either. In Yahoo the domain for one site does show up. The other doesn't appear to be indexed by Yahoo yet. The domains showed in Google at one point but they fell off. I have spent hours researching what causes it and have found many answers - none of which are concrete. I'm begging for help.

I'm thinking it is a setup issue with pretty link or All in One SEO or something I'm doing in wordpress to make this happen. I could be completely off but that is my guess. Any thoughts?

    Well how long has it been since you purchased and put up info on your site? Some sites will take longer than others to show up in search engines. I've had links to my site listed indexed way before the actual site. As to why the contact page is coming up though...not quite sure! Let's see what others think. But from my experience its not uncommon for that to happen to a new site but links from other more established sites come up much sooner.
