I'm looking for a faster way to do keyword research and I've been hearing a lot about programs such as Micro Niche Finder or Market Samurai, which would you prefer and why>?

Or if you think there is an even better program let us know!

For me, keyword research is all about getting to the BIG picture of a small niche market. No one tool tells me everything, but when I use my 5 tools together, I get a lot of information. Not only are keyword tools good for finding these phrases, but they are also AWESOME at brainstorming for related keyword.

I hate to say it, but although i think MS is *still* the best tool, its speed (or lack thereof) really annoys me. There is no way to analyze more than 500 keywords, if i paste in longer keyword lists it just ***s out. And its so extremely unresponsive working with it.

Furthermore, i know its not MS's fault, but so often i get big discrepancy in results whats MS tells me and the actual numbers on google.

I HIGHLY advise to always double check your results (SEOC, SEOTC)....otherwise you could make the mistake to make a site because MS tells you is a good keyword with low competition...but the ACTUAL numbers are totally different.

Google Keywords External (for the sheer volume) + creative thinking!

I also mix it up with Google Insights (usually for Last 90 days, USA)

I avoid Wordtracker other than for ideas (not enough volume, imo). Then again, I'm a newbie.

I love my Micro Niche Finder as it has helped rank most of my sites on page 1 but there are probably a few other similarly good keyword research tools out there too. But I have not used Market Samurai to give any comparison.

I prefer Micro Niche Finder to Market Samurai because it is simpler to use. The latest version 5 is pretty cool.

Is it just me or is the MNF site down? And it has been that way for about three weeks?

(Type a title for your page here)

I've checked it through my AFF links, Clickbank, Google and the site directly and NADA...

Do you know something I don't know?

MS is still best, followed by MNF. Although both tools have their disadvantages....i think MS is pretty slow once you want to analyze MANY keywords. The GUI is also everything but responsive...and this on a high-end PC....

I use Micro Nicher Finder & Market Samurai.
Both automate a lot of kw research process.

MNF is very good at kw research.
You can get in a few seconds/minutes :

    • kw + local search volumes + global search volumes + CPC (adwords).
Then from these first clues, you can dig down to identify good kw
    w/ reasonable competition level.

Market Samurai does this & much more but is may be a little bit more complicated to use if you want to use all marvelous features it provides.
    (Rank Tracker for example).

If your budget is limited get started w/ Micro Niche Finder.
Later, reinvest in Market Samurai to benefit from the features.

If your budget is very very limited:
start w/ a free trial of Market Samurai.

    Good to know:
the kw research module stays active even after the trial period expired.

    Hope it helps!
    Joe.
