How To Stop Ranking For Certain Keywords?

I have a niche site on clothing, but I am getting a lot of traffic coming from Google with a keyword that is related to adult entertainment. How to stop my site from ranking for that phrase even though I have done no SEO on it.

My conversion rate is so low because people are not looking for clothes, and I believe AdSense smartprice is kicking in because this site is getting about 1 click for every 100+ impressions even though it is Xfactor theme.

The full phrase keyword is not adult related but when it is partial (which is what most people are typing in) is. I know this sounds confusing but I just don't want to give away my niche keyword.

Now that sounds like a tricky one, as you are always going to be ranked in broad even if you optimize for the phrase or exact. Outside of ensuring that those searching for the adult version realize totally that they have hit the wrong site, and keeping yours squeeky clean, I think you may have to put up with the traffic you dont want to keep the traffic that you do.

Or, you could capitalize on the traffic that you ARE getting and try to sell the site off in that niche. Move on to something that you'll feel more comfortable with.

I think selling it would be a great idea! It is a .com and I can convince people to buy it ... Thanks for the reply!
