It seems like hitting two birds with one stone. That is, you are building a backlink to increase your ranking in the SERPS while also getting quality traffic from your posts/submissions.

The only thing that comes to mind for me is EZA. How about you? What do you consider a good backlink site and a great source of traffic at the same time?

To get back links and traffic in one go i have a couple of weapons such as social book marking and forum posting which both are very effective for both back links as well as traffic. Both are off very effective page SEO techniques.

A question to your answer would be Press Releases and Squidoo Lenses.

They are good traffic sources while building improtant backlinks resources.

For those who may say "HubPages"...just be weary of the fact that, if you allow your Hubscore to drop below 75, all your Do-Follow links will revert to No-Follow on ALL your articles...

      Just a for-warning

I find it pretty easy to keep my hubscore over 75. Just keep your posts high quality and you'll maintain a good hubscore.

My Hubpage backlinks always show up stronger than other backlinks using the link strength thing in SEO Spyglass. Now, whether that metric in SEO Spyglass has any validity I can't say.

Hubpages is great. If you write good articles and don't put in more than 10% of affiliate junk hubs then you're unlikely to drop below 75. Besides, Google knows which pages are getting natural traffic from link following and will boost them accordingly (I've seen this on my own sites).

I tried videos and posting it in youtube but it doesn't really help. Q&A are more effective, Y! Answers gets a lot of traffic and has a feature of "Best Answer" so make sure your answer makes it through the top (keep voting for it). Yedda offers do-follow and has great traffic too.

If people find useful content is enough to come once and than to bookmark your site or include the site in articles , etc....in conclusion you don't have to promote the site other will start to promote it .... there are sites that live from other sites content .. such as tutorials directories , sites with list of ...tutorials , resources, etc

How effective are profiles (may it be forum profiles, web 2.0 site profiles, or any other profiles) in generating actual traffic towards your target/money site? Do you really get traffic to your money site just by creating profiles i.e. angela and paul backlink packets?

Best seo option is link wheeles I think. But to be active in web 2.0 sites which you backlinking is most important thing. You need to have firends, followers, and a good profile instruction.
