Acid Drop - to speed up site

Hey folks-

We all know that speeding up your site can help your rankings. Ever use Acid Drop? Just add a few lines of script to your site and the speed is dramatically increased.

Does it work? Could it affect your rankings at first? Will G read your site differently and drop you in the ranks?

Or is there a better way to speed up the site?

    Haven't used it. But I do use the W3 Total Cache plugin on WordPress. It caches pages and minimizes and compresses js/css/html code so that it loads faster.
