How Can You Create an Internal Link to Your Homepage w/out a Link?

I'd like to change my "Home" link on my wordpress site in such a way that it's not a raw link. I also don't want to use Javascript unless I can somehow make it open in the same window.

Is there a way to create a link in php that is like...some type of function that when run sends you to a particular URL?

Really I'm trying to find a different way to doing the exact same thing as a standard link.

Not sure what you are asking about.
If you want the "home" link to go elsewhere, can't
you just change the settings where it says blog address?
You can type anything in there. That does not change
the blog address, just the "home" page I think.

Leave the wordpress url alone, change the blog address.
They should be right on top of each other on the settings
    page.

I want the "Home" button, which is on every page of my site, to still link to the home page, but without actually pointing to the homepage (http:// mysite.com).

I don't want the Search engines to associate my homepage with the word "home" I want them to associate it with the term "widgets". So why would I put the first link on every page of the site (because it's a menu) pointing at my homepage with the anchor text term "home"? It's like telling the search engines that my site is about "home" when it's not...it's about Widgets.

I want the link to stay there, have the text of "Home" but not have the underlying link be to my homepage, yet still have the visitor arrive on the homepage when it is clicked. See what I'm saying?

Another thing...I want to do it without using NoFollow because that just causes PR to "evaporate" into the nether world now. As the link is on every page, it's like sending a lot of PR into the netherworld.

    Hi Expert!

I think this may be the perfect application of the 'rel=nofollow' construct in your a tag. This will tell the search engine spiders to 'not follow' the link and therefore not associate the link with the word 'home'.

I would hope at the same time that you are creating a 'follow' a tag for 'widgets' to your home page. Sounds like you have it under control!

    Best of luck!

go to the keywords at table of contents on page and put the # sign in source code next to it, it will link the keyword to other section with same keyword.
