Web 2.0s as My Main Money Sites?

I'm at a point of indecision right now and want to see what others think.
Until this point I've been using my own self hosted domains as my money sites. I use wordpress as the CMS.
The problem is that when your building an average of a site every 1 or 2 days, the domain costs can become extremely expensive.
So now I'm considering building my money sites to be hosted on blogger (blogspot). The benefits are free domains, free hosting, and I've noticed blogger ranks in google easier than a regular website. Negatives are you don't actually own the site and I like to flip sites when I need cash fast.
So What are your thoughts? And if the benefits of using web 2.0s are great, why are there so many affiliate marketers still using their own domains?
