Article on 1st page of Google in a matter of hours...

I had an article on EA for about a week and it didn't index with google. I put it on Articlebase this morning before I went to the gym. And as of 3pm, it was #4 on the front page of google with About 41,500,000 results.

Kind of cool. I'm no article marketing wiz, but here's the take away. Post on Articlebase and EA.

Also, I didn't change the article at all. The EXACT same article I had a EA I posted on Articlebase.

Kinda cool.

Peace,

Shane

How many competing results does your keyword have with quotes?
I have had many articles rank on Google with millions of "competing" pages,
but once I had searched it with quotes, there was only about 2k actual competing websites.

    Best Regards,
    UFG

Is it still ranking there? check its position after a week. If its still there then your competition is ****, low searched keyword etc

    2 things.

I have heard, especially from emails from the original bum marketer Travis, that articlesbase is really just as effective or even more than effective than ezinearticles now, for a lot of people's articles. If you are doing article marketing you should definitely try using articlesbase. Also, articlesbase articles rank fast, so it's good to do especially if you are capitalizing on short-term trends.

And another thing, just because the article was ranking on the first page of Google the same day you put up the article does not mean it will stay there. Often an article or even a new website can be put on the first page of Google for the targeted keyword quite fast, and then a few days later it drops way down and then eventually settles where Google thinks it should be. That's when you realize you'll need some good, quality backlinks to get a higher ranking. It's the Google dance and especially with articles on article sites this tends to happen.

I've found ArticleBase articles index faster and produce better SERP positions than EZA about 75% of the time.

I wanna add to this again.

It's no big deal. My blog updates are on first page within a matter of seconds.

Problem I'm seeing here is that you're posting this to an article directory when you could really be posting it to a blog and reaping all the rewards yourself. ;-)

You are right. From my many tests, ArticlesBase is actually
VERY STRONG in the search engines, but my only trouble with
them is the fact that their backlinks are NOfollow. Bummer!

But the truth is that ignoring them in one's article marketing
efforts is not smart. So, yes, you are right - submit to
EZA as well as ArticlesBase. I will add that you also submit
to the other top article directories as well. And if you can
manage it, spin the articles and submit them to the hundreds
of other article directories... even if NOT for the visitors but
for the DOfollow backlinks - they won't hurt,

Just an update. It's still on the 1st page of Google. Except now it's #1, not #4.

    Cool

Excellent discussion! I have a large list of article directories which I submit to from time to time and will have to move ArticleBase to the top. Thanks.

So, is there any "penalty" from posting on both eza and articlesbase with content originally posted on your blog?

I basically have been posting to my blog, then a week or so later upload to eza. Should I then do articlesbase for additional benefits or will the same content on 3 different sites somehow penalize me in regards to SEO?
