Will Google re-index a site if it's been dropped?

Hi, I've been working on a friends site and had successfully gotten him onto the top 3 spots on Google for the keywords we targetted. He then forgot to pay his host who had renewed his domain and so for 4 days he changed our dns servers so his site went to a parked page completly unrelated to window tinting which is what our site is about.

Sorted out the billing matter and got our site back up but now we aren't anywhere to be found on Google,

Are we screwed? Will google re-index us once they see the site has returned to relevance?

Any thoughts??

Thanks,
Scott

Yes the site will be re-indexed once Google is able to crawl through it again.

You can get it ranked again but may take some time.

Yes you do, but if you want to make it fast (should take at least 2 weeks) file a complaint to google but make sure you follow all the requirements (I mean you site content, design etc) prior to contact google, try to reach them from the google webmaster tools.

I just got through doing this for someone(over the weekend for another warrior). It took me 3 days to get the site re-indexed and on page 1 again for quite a few of his broad keywords. His site was dropped out of the serps entirely, not because of billing...it was because he did a permanent redirect site-wide for approx. 6-8 weeks or more before I had him remove it and I started working on it again.

You can easily bounce back...with a little aggression and effort.

For sure you're site will be re-indexed just give it time to be re-crawled - submit a social bookmark or ping it.
