I think I'm taking the right steps, but I see 0 results... Any Tips?

I just made a brand new niche site last week. It's a pretty good keyword seeing that it gets almost 900 searches daily and only has about 50,000 competition (in quotes).

My site keeps flipping back and forth from the 6th and 8th spot for the key phrase without quotes. I have the number 1 spot for the phrase with quotes.

Here are some of the things I've done SEO-wise:
-socially bookmarked all 6 of my content pages using OnlyWire
-submitted articles to Ezine (yet to be approved) and Goarticles
-set up web 2.0 properties with backlinks to my site (I think I have about 14 quality backlinks)
-lots of blog commenting to just about all the relevant blogs

I know I haven't done enough to get a bunch of visits, but the thing is, I'm getting on average 1 unique visit per day!! I've been reading a lot of posts here and case studies and all of the people conducting them are getting like 40 uniques after 3 days. And by the way, my content is pretty good, not revolutionary, but it is helpful.

Any help, guys?

    The bets thing you can do is working. IM is a marathon, not sprint. It might take months, even years to start making some serious money. Add more new content, try to build more backlinks and sooner or later you are going to be #1 and probably make a lot of money.

    6th-8th place will get almost no clicks, if you want to get some serious traffic you must be at top 3, sometimes even #1.

    If your site is in the Top 10 without quotes and it's truly a search phrase that gets 900 searches per day, something's wrong if you're not getting at least a handful of visits every day. The 900 daily searches - is that the number when you set whatever tool you use to get that number to Exact? If you search Broad, it's virtually a useless number. What you want is the traffic numbers for Exact.

    Even if you only got 1% of the daily total at position 6, 7, or 8, that's still 9 searches a day. So either the search numbers you think the phrase gets are wrong, or something is wrong with your tracking and you're getting more visits than you think you are.

    I didn't know about the "Exact" and "Broad" settings. I'm using Market Samurai, so I'm just going on the numbers and statistics there. I'll use the "Exact" setting and see what the search numbers are...

    I have 3 sets of 3 words for you. And one set of 4 words and these produce results every time.
