Backlinks from web profile pointing to URLs of the same site - Devalued by Google?
- SEO |
This has been an issue that has been on my mind for quite some time now.
I want to place backlinks on other websites, a web 2.0 profile for example. Let's say I place 3 anchor text backlinks.
Option 1: I could have all three of these links pointing to 3 URLs of the same site.
Option 2: I could have each of the 3 backlinks pointing to URLs on 3 different sites.
My concern is that with Option 1, the links would be less valued by Google for some reason, and all or some may be not counted.
Can someone advise me on this? Do multiple backlinks to different URLs of the same website from one location get devalued in any way? AND IF SO, how much of a factor are they devalued by? Please put this in quantitative terms for me. For example, if I have 3 backlinks on each of 50 web profile sites, that is a total of 150 backlinks. If all three of those backlinks point to different URLs of the same site, are all 150 backlinks still recognized by Google? (How about if they all go to the same exact URL?)
Thanks!
