A Little PPC Help Needed...

I've experimented with Yahoo's PPC program with
moderate success, but not I'm looking to get a bit
further into the strategy with Google's Adwords.

With Yahoo, I sent traffic directly to my affiliate
link. With this new campaign, however, I plan to
send traffic directly to a salespage I've tested.

The page has converted consistently at a little bit
over 6% at a $26.95 price point. So that means
each visitor to me is worth roughly $1.75. And I
know for sure I can find keywords that will make
the campaign profitable.

With Adwords, should I send traffic directly to the
page or go through a landing page first? Will doing
that have tremendously adverse effects?

Also... can anyone give me a few 'tips and tricks'
to using Adwords? I'm treading in new water here
guys... so any and all help you can send my way
is very, very much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Hello Jesse, in regards where to send your visitors, that question is one open to a individual view point and each person must call i suit their needs as required and has no concrete or right / wrong answer.

Some build support pages and bring them in those pages, and other bring them in on target, really a case by case / person by person call.

As for hints and tips it may be better to ask specific questions or we could end up writing war and peace that would bore most Muppet's on summer picnic.
