I am running a blog which is almost 1 year 3 months old .
My Anchor text is "Bangladesh Mobile"
Address : bd-mobi.blogspot.com
Its Google Page Rank 1
I had 8000 Page views and 2223 Unique visits last month [May 2010] According to Statcounter.com

And here is the Google Analytics Report of Last Month

The Anchor text of my site "Bangladesh Mobile" has average CPC $1
But earned $8.09 by 91 Clicks from this site last month :s

What is wrong ?? I am getting $0.02 to $0.03 per click why is it too low ?? Shouldn't i deserv more from it ??

What am i missing ?? Do i need a lot more traffic ??? Does high page rank bring more money ?? Please any suggestion will be highly appreciated .

    Hi Nazbir,

My educated guess is that your niche simply is low paying. I'd start making a new site and this time do more initial research.

To show you how bad your niche is paying:

I only get about 1/5 to 1/7th of your daily traffic, yet I get more clicks than you and instead of earning $8 like you a month I earn about $60 a month from that 1 site.

Yes thats how bad your niche/keywords are.

Hmm that does seem a bit low for $1 CPC

Mine are mostly $1-$3 but most are around the $1-$2range.

I get clicks from 25 cents all the way to $3 each (ok it only happened once) I get many $1 clicks but over the month my average earnings per click is around 65 cents.

I think that your keywords are low-paying keywords. Also, I believe your clicks are originated from Bangladesh only. They are low-paying clicks too.

BTW, ask MODs to remove your Adsense Stats image from your post. You may loose your Adsense account for publishing it.

Ernie bro thats what i was saying, $0.02 or $0.03 per click is low according to CPC $1 .

Digiwebtools Bro yes almost all clicks originated from Bangladesh . But why is clicks from Bangladesh low paying clicks ?? Does the AdSense earnings differ regionally ??

Thanks for your suggestion i removed the adsense image .

Remember that the $1 CPC you see on different tools are what adword advertisers may be paying to get the number 1 position on the google search results page. The ads on the content network, which make adsense ads, may have a much lower value, and you have no way of knowing which ads will show on your site, or which ads people are clicking.

So a high CPC stat for a particular keyword does not guarantee high adsense earnings. The search netword and the content network are completely different things.

OK, 2 things to point out here...

    1. Just because a KW shows an average CPC of $1 does not mean the ads showing on your site have been paid $1 per click for by the advertiser. You might be showing ads they paid a lot less for.

    2. If your site consistently sends visitors who do not buy anything, you'll trip a filter called "Smart Pricing" at Google. This drops the amount an advertiser pays for ads displaying on your site - sometimes by a lot. Getting more targeted traffic coming from "buying" keywords will solve that problem.

You dont understand. You cant earn more from this site with Adsense...its simply not worth it. You can do a lot less work in anther niche and earn a lot more.

Try some car affiliate or CPA ads if you like, they will pay more. However being a Bangladesh site, it may be too difficult and not worth the time.

          Good luck.

You're better off targetting US traffic as it generally pays the highest.

When you say average CPC is $1, I think you are referring to adwords search ads. For content network, I think the CPC will be lower than the search ads.

make it simple, your keyword is "bangladesh mobile" which mean that the advertiser is mostly from Bangladesh and you can actually know how much they are willing to pay for the 1 click

I am also experiencing lower cents per click - it just depends on what the advertisers are willing to pay for those keywords. Simple economics based on supply and demand.

although mobile niche is not that low paying as comparing to entertainment and movies etc. but in previous days due to large number of mobile sites maybe its adword bid is dropped.... due to big competition incentive distributed by google also decrease i hope you understand.

Why are you using Adsense? If you're providing a valuable service or content in the telecom niche for your country, why don't you approach one of the companies directly and have them buy some adspace on your website.

I think the ad format can affect the click through but not the cents per click. If you want to increase the click through I have a couple of thoughts - I have the best click rate on my site with the vertical skyscraper (right aligned) - you have a sky scraper but it is appearing below the fold on my screen - perhaps you could change your template so that the skyscraper appears quite high up on the right hand side - alternatively you could replace above the fold leaderboard with a medium rectangle and see if that makes a difference.

The second suggestion is that you are #1 on Google for your keyword (congratulations) but the listing within the Google results page is very brief and with information only appearing on one of the two available lines for description. Perhaps you could tweak your site so that a slightly longer description appeared in the search results. When I first looked at the listing my eyes naturally went to the second listing rather than yours.

Finally I more than tripled my $$ per click with a brief link buidling campaign via article marketing which increased the site PR from 1 to 2. Nothing special, 3 hours work, but suddenly I started seeing a lot more $2-3 clicks where before they were rare. Average cost per click went from $0.25-30 to over $1.

Google has the right to reduce the earning also I believe due to its continuous monitoring of the clicking of the ads. In a way it is good I think because it can put non-genuine clicks at bay.

I just visited your site and the ads appearing their in your ad units are not relevant to site content. But your link units shows relevant ads.

Just a suggestion here: why not relocating your link units in the top location of the page? Further, try putting 3 vertical link units in a row below your navigation bar. I am getting a lot of clicks with this format in my entertainment sites. I think this will also be effective in your site. If not then try different ad locations to increase your CTR.

Hello, I have a suggestion for an adsense alternative program that may help you. Ads are targeted for what the visitor actually searches for. This may help you get some income while you work to build an adsense related blog with better traffic keywords.
    Affiliates - Prosperent
To make my adsense work, I do not use micro niches, but larger sites with many thousands of pages. It is working for me and my site(s) has many first page keywords drawing traffic.

    hi nazir,
I am not an adsense expert but this guide Make money with Google AdSense with Joel Comm's free book helped me improve my placements quite a bit.

When I advertise on Google I choose which countries to pick. That decides how many competitors are there and how much I will have to pay.

some and not a lot of advertisers will choose International "All Countries" so you will get ads then. If there are people targeting Bangladesh you will get those ads to. Keywords relevant of course.

I would suggest you do a study of your visitors behavior. Where they come from , where they go, what they like do some research on the net as to what you can offer them so you can get back something.

I've checked your keyword and found out that if I'm the advertiser, I just need to pay a minimum of $0.05 for the add to appear in top 3.
