Are the Ezines and Hubpages links pointing to your site, or do they go straight to a landing/sales page?

Build backlinks to your Hubpages and articles, if your hub/articles are linking to your actual website then this is a good start. If these sources are not linking to your website then make an alteration so that they are.

They're pointed to my main fundraising website. I'm not having trouble getting the articles and hubpage on the first two pages in competitive keywords. I haven't tried isnare yet so I'm wondering if that will help at all.

Article directories get lots of PR love
from the search engines, so the answer to your
question is yes, it will help you ALOT!

Don't forget to use your target keywords as
hyperlink text when linking back to your site.

EZA and Hubpages will most probably not be enough...

* Use social news sites and bookmark your RSS feeds.

* Submit your RSS feeds to RSS directories (including your Hubpage RSS feed and your EZA profile page RSS feed).

* Write a good press release and submit it to the top 30 free press release sites. Remember to use your keyword(s) as anchor text!

As a new site one may find it difficult to get backlinks from authority high PR site.

The best way is to build targeted keyword anchor backlink from atleast nearly related site even if it has less value. Targeted anchors can do great help in off-page SEO.

It is all about building quality links too and not just bunch of nofollow backlinks.

Increase the size of your website by continuously adding unique related content.

Internal link structure is one of the most overlooked factors in SEO, its quite possible to get high rankings with internal link structure alone. Google relys heavily on the site owner to let them know what each page of a website is about, through internal link anchor text.

Thats why its a HUGE seo mistake to use "Home" as your navigation anchor text back to your homepage. Google has to then rely soley on your homepages content to determine what its about.

E.g. if you had a 1000 page website about the Apple iPad and the navigation link anchor text back to your homepage was changed from "Home" to "Apple iPad", Google would suddenly have a homepage stating its about Apple iPads with 1000 indexed pages all backing up that claim with the correct anchor text. This is called page reputation.

Missing either good clear content, internal links with targeted anchor text or backlinks from reputable sites could make or break a site. Definitely make it a lot harder for yourself if you do miss one of those 3.

leverage the authority of hubpages and Ezinearticles building backlinks to those pages, you should always feed the pages that link to your site, the more juice you give those pages, the more authority flows from them to your site.

They say that lots of low quality is pretty much worthless but thats not true at all, just have to use them a little differently to get the most out of them. Since your website is new, lots of low quality links wouldnt help very much but if you sent them to the authority pages that link to your site, this would get all the low quality link juice and reputation and filter it through the authority pages, to your site. So the 1 backlink from the trusted authority site ends up being 10 times more valuble than the low quality links would be to your site.

Sort of like Rumpelstiltskin spinning straw into gold, hehe.

The 2 keyword phrases you mentioned are highly competitive keywords. It would take a lot of SEO work and link building in order to get ranked on the first page.

Definitely agree. But you should be building backlinks to your main page for broad keywords. Your other pages should link together and include long tail keywords you want to rank for understand? Deep linking is important in this effort
