    Are you talking about adwords or adsense?

    If you want google advertisements on your website, then just search "Adsense" in google and sign up for the adsense program.

    If you want to promote your website in sponsored listings, then you need to sign up for adwords.

      If you look at the source code of your page you will see

      google_ad_client = "change-adsense";

      Not sure why that is - unless you bought the site (I hope not). However, that is where you enter your publisher id number from google adsense - in the quotes. You do need an adsense account to have a publisher number.

      When you generate your ad ON the adsense site - the script google provides for you to paste into your page will have that publisher number included as it should be.

      This is "adsense" - not "adwords".

      There is a lot of info on the adsense site about how to use it and how to create your ad blocks.
