Hi there. This is the first time to create a new threat. I just cannot find the answer to my question...

I will be building links to a redirect site. Actually it is a microsite but created a redirect URL (so that the url will be the name of the person).

Ex. the real url is online.companynamedotcom/b2c/ee/agent/44/0987
Redirect URL: nameofpersondotcom

Is it possible to build backlinks on the redirect url? or just use the real URL?

Thank you very much!

Yes, you can build links to the "vanily URL." A 301 redirect transfers link juice, though there is some degrading. You will get most of it though.

Oh, thank you for the reply... That is what i am really thinking, that the links will disappear. At now at least i know this can be done but with some degrading - but it is still okay.

And i learn something new, it is called 'vanity URL'. I am learning something new everyday here. :-)
