    There are some good paid ones and some good free ones.

    There are some lousy free ones and some lousy paid ones.

    But for SEO?

    Makes no difference. You can modify anything.

    BUT....if you want a killer, unique template, pay for one.

    But then, 99% of the SEO is entirely based upon what you do
    with the template. Not the template itself.

    SEO not Depend on your template. it stand it self. simple template with powerfull content and good SEO that you have to build.

    on page SEO is about the content you write, the titles you give and the relevancy to the search term, and not a lot else. So any wordpress theme will do. It is a huge myth that certain wordpress templates are somehow better for SEO - you can rank with any of them.
