SEO and Competitors Backlinks Anchor Text

Hello everyone,

I've been doing some keyword research and I've came accross with this site which is the authority with the "short tail keyword" and it also ranks 1st with the "long tail keyword", BUT the long tail keyword is not present in the title, h1 tags, description and url. The Backlinks for this site show no presence of the long tail kw either... I'm wondering if I will be able to beat this site...

so to sum up

-Authority site anchor is "AB"
-When searching on google "A for B" the authority site is still number 1, but no presence of long tail keyword in description, h1, etc

1- Is the "for" or any other article or preposition RELEVANT for SEO?

2- Will I be able to beat this site if I do link building with the "for" included?

3- Take into account this site has like 150000 backlinks for "AB" but 0 backlinks for "A for B"

THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!

I have found that Google sometimes ignores the "for" if it is used as a prefix, but in the middle of a term it's relevant, IMO.

You can definitely overtake that site, it only depends on how many backlinks you'll need. Make sure you do all the on-page optimization necessary and start link building. But yes, it's realistic to say that you can do it.

    Cheers,
