Hello...

I want to to some link building with photo hosting sites. Are some better than others for SEO purposes? If I upload 100 product photos with tags and descriptions which photo hosting site is the best? (yes, I know... all of them!)

Imgur, flikr, photobucket etc?

Other ones?

Thanks!!!

The three you mentioned are very good. Shutterfly, snapfish and smugmug are some other good ones with high PR.

    Cheers,

Hey... You know that it's nofollow right?

    Just to make sure...

Read this article and you will know about this... Nofollow links are not bad though - IMO at least!

Oh, thank you so much for this post and thank you to the OP. I am trying to understand no-follow, do-follow, etc. I am so new to this and am learning that the concept behind the no follow attribute was to reduce comment spam on blogs because it really causes a lot of problems.

Thanks Wi... good to know. The photos we'll be uploading contain celebrities using a specific product. So even If I cant post links, or they are noFollow, the tags will be very helpful.

Great info.. thanks for the education.

Just watch what you link to. Most of those sites do not like
affiliate or commercial links trying to sell something. You
would not want to lose an account and all photos with it.
This is especially true with flickr.

Good point Paul... we'll have to think about this. Perhaps the star power of the celebs will mitigate the product placement. They're not studio shots but happy, party pics. I represent the Advertiser/Merchant, I'm not an affiliate. I want to drive traffic, create awareness and recruit affiliates...

seems tags of known people that happen to be using a product is not a bad thing!
