Problem with indexed backlinks

Hi

I have several backlinks (about 70 dofollow) for me site which are indexed. But they don't appear when I check for backlinks using Yahoo Site Explorer, Google Webmaster Tools or SEO SpyGlass. So I reckon for example Google hasn't taken the link juice from those backlinks when calculating my site's ranking.

Should I continue to do the waiting game or are there som other technique? I've heard it's wise to submit rss feeds of articlels with backlinks to feed directories. But that is for getting backlink indexed. My backlinks are already indexed, Google is not using it's link juice yet. Well I think it's not using the link juice as I don't find the backlink when checking in Yahoo Site Explorer, Google Webmaster Tools or SEO SpyGlass

These backlinks here are from press releases and Link Magnet (mini linkwheels, WSO)

any suggestions?

Google will only show a very small percentage of your backlinks. If they are indexed in Google then Google is giving you credit for the link. A site I am working on now shows 4700 links in Yahoo, 2 in Google, and about 600 in Google's webmaster tools but I have a lot of first page rankings in Google so they are giving me credit for all those links even if they are not showing them.

Yahoo usually shows a much higher percentage. Have you checked to see if the pages are actually indexed in Yahoo? I have noticed that it can take longer for Yahoo to actually index pages than it takes Google.

If they are indexed there really is no need to spend anymore time on them unless you want to actually increase the pr of a particular page where that your back link is on. Spend time getting more links instead will be a much better use of your time.

How do you know the links are indexed if none of those tools show them?

does the link show up when you look at the google cache of the page in question (the one with your link)? - if not, then they are not indexed.

The easiest way I have found to check on whether or not my links are getting indexed is to include a unique word or phrase when placing my link. It may be a unique user name or if it is an article or a mu blog it will be a phrase that I can do an exact search for.

If the page shows up in my search then it is indexed.

You would be surprised at how many pages show up as indexed but do not show up when you use the link: search even in Yahoo.

That is exactly what I do. Then I enter this unique word into google search and there I find my backlnk page in the SERP. But when I check Yahoo Site Explorer, Google Webmaster Tools or SEO SpyGlass for backlinks the backlinks are not reported for my site

Sometimes it needs time until your backlinks are counted.
You also need to make the anchor related to your site.
Put your link on blogroll on related blog will be good way to build link
