How would you like to learn a simple,yet powerful method of increasing your
Adsense commissions with very little work?

Does your adsense ads stick out like a sore thumbs on your content pages screaming....

"Hey,You! Look over here at me . I'm an ad!?"

If so,something I want you to seriously consider is designing your Adsense ads to blend in with the rest of your site.

You will definitely want to test this, but what i have found is by using the same link and text colours in my ads that also appear on my content pages, myclick through rates (profits) will improve tremendously.

These people are looking for solutions to their problems and that means they want content.

If you are not doing so already, use text ads instead of image ads because,not only can you blend text ads into content of your site
you can also fit more text ads into a smaller space.

Finally,whatever you do, do not use a border that stands out and annouces to the world that you have ads on your site

Hope this helps

Russell

    Nice post albeit much is common knowledge: (it's hard to post something new about adsense)

    I'd like to add:

    - Place ads on top rather than bottom of pages...the top KILLS the bottom in performance

    - Low searched (specific) keywords are easier to rank and usually pay more per click

    - 1 ad per page is enough and pays the highest) and a lot of your visitors will click it if there are not many distractions on page

    - Content that discusses products do better with Adsense than information/entertainment type pages and allows you to "recommend" that they buy online over offline which will make them more likely to take notice of your adsense ads

      Thanks for the info.

      My friend and I have a website that produces about $1500/mo from Adsense. We're currently considering phasing out the adsense and replacing them with relevant ads to CPA and affiliate offers.

      It's nice to have that stable Adsense income, but it just seems like we could be making more money this way.

      Got any advice about this?

      I was wondering about this, say you review a product which will have more chance of being clicked because they are looking for products etc.

      But wouldn't it be better to have the adsense at the bottom because they have just read the post?

      Just pondering

        You would think so but that is not the case.

        I guess people feel comfortable scrolling back up the page when they're finished reading.

          interesting...

          I will have to step it up on two sites, one at bottom one at top and compare

    adsense on forums is often a frustrating experience for new adsense users. Looking for a way to monetize all that forum traffic many new adsensers wind up on a forum themselves complaining about the poor returns. The following advice is based on my experiences of running adsense on forums for 2 years. ( I only successfully figured out what to do after being on experimentation ) 1. Topic is important. If your forum is focused on car loans or investing your going to get better payoffs per click than if its about music. This is simple to understand so it should need no more explanation. If your forum is in a low CPC ( cost per click ) topic then try putting in a for sale section, jobs section, an a wanted section. These will help build some better paying traffic for you. 2. Ugly URLS have got to go. ModRewrite is a must ( assuming your using apache ), you have to have easily crawlable urls to get fully indexed in the search engines. Most of your clicks are going to happen by people reffered to your site not by your normal users, so the search engine referrrals are what are going to pay for the forum. Also your targeting will improve if your urls are simpler. Regards Kady

    Last year I created about 10 small adsense sites just to see what content or niche does well for me.. until I concentrated on clickbank and my other big adsense sites that I forgot all about them.. Today when I was checking my stats, I throughly checked the stats and to my surprise the sites were still earning money without any updates etc.. the sites were earning about 30 cents to 1.50 cents per day... My question is, is it worth the time and money to create lets say 50 small adsense sites? the advantage is that it is very easy for me to think of a topic to create a site, for example create a site about a cat breed, or a superhero character or in which case the topic are endless.. the major disadvantage though is the price of the domain and maybe the time to create the sites...which should take no longer than 1 week. But with this said and let us say I create 50 sites which are earning 50 cents a day, that is still an easy 25 dollars a day... what do you guys say and recommend? I hope this thread can also help newbies on adsense who thinks about creating several small sites... If you are interested to see my sites message me and I'll send you a sample of my sites..

    What do you do to get this at the moment my ads have this set up,

    google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_link = "cc0000";
    google_color_text = "000000";
    google_color_url = "C3D9FF";

    I have just got to page 1 on google for my keywords,that have 6,600 searches per month according to google keyword tool.

    But im not getting any clicks on my ads, they do stick out like a sore thumb.

    Do you just change all text to black color,or do you do more

    Nice post Jackie. I do not do a lot of adsense so i do not have much advice to give. I have heard it is best to place your ad above your content so it is the first thing the reader sees.
