Opinions Needed Please..

I hope this thread is ok to post here. I was wondering if some of you can give me your opinion on what you would change to make this website better to decrease bounce rate.

The keywords are very relevant to this site and is on the first page of Google. So poor KW research is not the answer for the high bounce rate.

What would you change with the design? What triggers you to leave right away when you look at the website? Does it look professional? Do you understand what the purpose is of the site? Any ideas would be helpful.

I am not using this as a backlink or to drive traffic to this website. My client simply needs some Warrior opinions on how to make their website more appealing.

Thanks Warriors!!

  • Your keywords MUST NOT BE RELEVANT otherwise people would stick around to read. So you need to figure out why your content doesn't match your visitors purpose in visiting.

Your site loaded slow for me and you are wasting nearly all your "above the fold" space on graphics at huge sizes that won't make you any money.

Put content above the fold that immediately matches your user intentions or you lose.

And bounce rate is per page... so look at where people enter and exit and what keywords they use to get to that page.

Don't be afraid to redesign... a pretty site that doesn't convert means nothing.

    Red?

People will get out with so MUCH red.

And yep, the site is slow loading, header space is not used to "punch" visitors with a strong statement, and you have a lot of stuff going on when a visitor sees the site: ads, offers, banners...

    Usually, less is more.

May I ask, why all the red?

  • To be honest, the content is solid - for the most part. But as mentioned, I think the design, including the bright red, is a bit much. Is that something you can change?

I will talk to my client about the Red. I agree with that change. I also beleive the content is pretty solid as well. The website does load slowly. I agree..

What about their rotating picture, keep or remove?

    Great stuff here guys!!

Just to clarify, the high bounce rate isn't only on the Keywords, direct traffic has high bounce rate also.

I'd try a blue (respect, credible) with lot's of white.

As for the rotating picture, ask the designer to try some designs with less *noise*, more clean space, let them breathe.

You can try a A-B test with this design and a new one and see how it performs.
