SEO & domain question, please...

I live in an area that's considered "twin-cities" since it's 2 cities almost joined together, then there's a few tiny cities on the outskirts. Shooting for optimal SEO, for a portal, should my domain name include both cities? Should all off page SEO articles include both cities as well? Videos, too?
Should the two cities be hyphenated in the domain name or does that matter?
Sorry, but I've researched the forums and lots of great SEO-related WSO's for this specific info, but not much out there.
Or maybe it's just that this scenario won't matter one way or another.
ANY suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.
JB

Hypehns domains get the same results for seo as non hyphens. Just remember as well though if TwinCities.com is developed then your going to lose direct type in traffic to a domain calle dtwin-cities.com as most people will not put in the "-" when doing direct type in.

Actually, each city has a name. I just can't see doing a portal using one city name, so I'll use the two names together. Then again, many businesses here are actually named TwinCityThis or That... "TwinCityCleaners" for example...
The hyphen is good info -- thanks!
