PPC Keyword exact/phrase question

When adding keywords to a PPC campaign, do you actually include brackets and quote marks? Let's use Adwords as an example, since that is the PPC engine I am using. Here is an example:

Out of the below list, I really want to use either # 2 or 3. How does it work if I do not want to use a broad search keyword?

1. colorado springs weddings
2. "colorado springs weddings"
3. [colorado springs weddings]
#exact or phrase #keyword #ppc #question

    Hello, I am not sure if i understand your question properly so forgive a wrong answer if so.

    Do you include the brackets and quote marks? when adding your keywords ? = yes or you can click on the keyword in your key list and change the search option there.

    If you do not wish to use the broad term simply do not add it to you keyword list / only add options 2 and 3

    "colorado springs weddings"
    [colorado springs weddings]

    Be careful not to create duplicates in your keywords and your good to go.

      THAT is the information I was after, and since I am so new, I didn't know I could do that. Thanks very much.

      On a side note, I know all about the niche side of using exact match, etc. My question was a technical one in regards to how tell Adwords what I wanted to do. Now I know.

    I think you should go with number 2. "colorado springs weddings"

    It's good not to use broad search keywords, but you are probably going to have to work with more websites and links to get attention from people. Good luck!
