Do forum sig backlinks have value other than people going to your website through them?

    I think they have a small but measurable value.

    Actually I am in the midst of doing a little experiment with that and when I get done and get the results I will let you guys know

    It helps, I think less on big forums like this though, with so many outgoing links in signatures....

    We shall see!! Or I shall. After I get done today and tomorrow I'm going to watch and see if my rankings go up. I haven't done much sigging lately but will do a small burst on my usual forums I subscribe to, like this one. Then watch and see and get back to you guys.

    As far as im concerned every little helps, and if it is a forum related to your niche if you add value and help fellow users then you will get highly targeted traffic.

    P.S google is not the only source of traffic out there

    Yes, they do help...More so then you think...

    Just make sure if there is an about me section on the page you fill it with information related to your website and anchor text...

    Yes they help a lot. While thinking about backlinks, there is no need to get backlinks from only relevant content. But if you think about traffic, then relevancy is needed.
