Linking add-on domains to common article

I have a number of add-on domains or sub-domains. All with their own domain name and folders below my root domain. Each of these sub domains domains deal with different topics

I am considering linking all of these domains to a common 'How to use this website' type tutorial which will live in the root directory of my hosting account. None of the domains will link between themselve only to the tutorial.

Am I creating SEO problems for my sub-domains in doing this?

    I really don't see this causing any sort of problem. From what I understand, you are attempting to divert traffic from your sub-domains to your primary domain, correct?

    sub.domain.com -> domain.com?

      All of my add-on domains focus on different topics (some are similar to each other but not many) but how a visitor uses each site is the same.

      The tutorial will show users how to use the site correctly for optimum results. So this tutorial can be used by all of the add-on domains no matter what the topic focus is.

      Rather than upload the tutorial to each and every site, which are many, I would like to upload just to the primary domain and provide a link from each add-on domain to the tutorial. This way if I need to upgrade the tutorial I only need to do it once.

      My concern is in jeopordizing the SEO strength (particular duplicate content penalties) of the sub-domains by linking them all to an identical tutorial.

      My guess is no but I am a novice.
