Hey Everyone,

So I thought I was finally starting to have some success, I spent a little cash and subscribed to blog-blueprint (not sure if this was a great idea or not) and put about 20-25 backlinks on a blog post with a keyword that has about 2900 exact searches without much PR competition on the front page and was actually able to get the post up to number 9. I thought this was great and I was starting to see some traffic increase I checked it earlier today through scroogle scraper and everything was cool, just got back from a movie and check it again and it's gone! as in nowhere to be found... what gives? Is google pissed at me? This stuff is confusing and frustrating!

Cheers!

Rob

      Hi Rob,

Sounds like you have just experience the temporary boost that you typically get from QDF (Query Deserves Freshness). Enjoy it while it last and then go earn a higher ranking by promoting your web page.

Yes, especially if your site is new, it takes time to outrank some sites who are already on Google's page one. You should continue to do your backlink building and soon you could be among the top sites on page one. But it all depends on how competitive your keyword is and who your competitors are. Your keyword research should have identified this.

That came back pretty quickly - its probably worth going slowly and building quality relevant links on a consistent basis to make sure it stays there rather than "pump" tons of links at once?
