I have been trying to get approval from pricegrabber or shopping.com to obtain their datafeeds through their partnership program which is a PPC model, as of now I cannot get an approval because they require the site to be live and have traffic, does anyone know a way around this or another shopping engine that I can use?

I think you need a site with good foundation of relevant content and this "magnet" would then attract search traffic and act as a seed for your data feeds, which would then take over as a form of content creation.

Quiny, have you tried the site datafeedfile.com? They are also a free to join price comparison site, with no stringent requirements (except a site must be active).

This site maintains all the data feeds with major network (clickbank, linkshare, shareasale etc). When you signed up, you are give an affiliate id and API access to query their data feeds. The only thing is that every forth click is replaced with datafeedfile own affiliate id (that's how they made money)

Anyway, that's how I got started, build a simple price comparison wordpress site using their API. Here's my site: Adult Cleopatra Costume | Cleopatra Costumes.us. You will see a list of price comparisons towards the end of the posts.

I don't know much about pricegrabber.com... but I did use the costume site and apply for Shopzilla instead (another price comparison site) and I was accepted without much hassle.

Maybe you can try this path....

Do you mean just use something like Amazon.com content and then drive cheap traffic in order to qualify for pricegrabber? Their approval now requires traffic and site rankings.

According to me to build a price comparison site, the easiest way is to use wordpress script price comparison, magento is also good.
