i am currently receiving about 11,000 unique visitors per day, i have an adsense account and i do make good money with adsense but im afraid that Google may ban my account for no reason. my site doesn't sell anything and there is no affiliate program that sells that kinda stuff except Ebay , it has to do with bikes, so can anyone give me an idea on how i can turn all that traffic to serious cash in case i get ban from Adsense?

If you're not violating any of Google's policies, there's no reason for them to "ban [your] account for no reason" so you shouldn't worry. Killing your AdSense account isn't something Google would like doing because they stop making money, too, as the result of such an action. It's not in their best interest anymore than it is yours.

I'd throw AdSense on there and capitalize on that traffic. Just make sure you do it in a way that's not spammy to users, integrates well into your template, and that you fully comply with Google's policies.

    Good luck.

Hey HunterSnake, you are right but what i am saying is that i don't want to depend on adsense. I read their TOS earlier and it stated that they can ban your account for whatsoever reason and that kinda threw me of guard.

A lot of TOS have similar... it's not unusual. This is a site's way of maintaining "God" status so far as their services are concerned. Yes, Google can kill everyones' AdSense accounts and discontinue the service if they desire. It wouldn't make sense for them to actually do it, though.

If you don't trust AdSense, another thing you can do is pure affiliate banners. For example, if you have a web site about... vacuum cleaners... try putting up banner advertisements for Oreck's affiliate program.

There are lots of ways to make money from a site. =) AdSense is one of the easiest, though.

Sounds like a good site, would like to know how well you go if you choose to monetize it with adsense

Well would you rather have ads on your site, make money and have the potential of getting banned or would you rather sit back and not take any action and not make any money?

All ad networks will have something similar to this, if you want to mix it up you can use things like adbrite and infolinks to make some extra money, that way you are not only dependent on one source of income.

As long as your content complies with AdSense TOS (no porn, pills, gambling etc) and your traffic is from clean sources (not 'paid to surf' etc) you should be fine.

You have very good traffic and if you provide solid, informative content then Adsense would be a very good means of earning income from your cycling site.

You have no reason to not use AdSense. As long as you stick to the rules, you have nothing to worry about. I am using them for more than a year on many websites without any problems. You can also want to see if you can find some good bike affiliate programs, like on Commission Junction to make even more.

If you still afraid to put your Adsense pub into your site, consider affiliate programs such as amazon.com, CJ, LinkShare, etc for making money through your site.

I'd suggest mixing it up a bit.
Selling ad space can be very lucrative, guaranteed monthly income, and can pay much higher than adsense. Someone already asked about purchasing a spot and that is just from one of your posts. At that rate it would take no time to cover your entire site.

So if you come up with a price schedule (home page box ad position 1, hp box ad position 2, etc...) and link it from your footer (Advertise on this site) you may get a nice surprise.

There are also scripts that you can incorporate that work much like adwords. People bid on advertisement placements, etc..
I believe this form of advertisement is becoming more mainstream and familiar than purchasing monthly advertisement spots.

If you have a targeted product and content and you are within the TOS then yes. If you are a forum, you may find better ways to monetize, as sometimes adsense is the "easy way" but not the best way.

Adsense is the easy way but I would do more affiliate products or even CPA stuff before I go down the .02 cents a click for adsense!

    Good luck!

    Hi whitebeard,

For starters put those adsense blocks on your site because you are literally loosing money as we speak. Then if worst comes to be, you can settle on one of the following networks:

    1. Adbrite - AdBrite offers numerous ad styles from the standard contextual ad units, but also offers rich media, inline, full pages and more. The system has one of the lowest thresholds for payment. It defaults to $100 payment, but you can set as low as $5.

    2. Chitika - An interesting alternative to most ad solutions as it only shows to your search traffic. Chitika displays ads related to the terms that brought a user to your site and presents them with ads based on that term as well as the option to search more on the term without leaving your page. The ads do not show up to your regular visitors so you don't have to worry about bombarding your regulars with too much advertising. Payout minimums are $20.

    3. Clicksor - Clicksor provides all of the usual contextual ad sizes you are used to (leaderboards, skyscrapers and so on) as well as providing inline ads, rich media, graphical banners and more. Payment methods vary by style of advertisement, and there is a minimum payout of $50 by standard check or PayPal.

    4. Bidvertiser -
BidVertiser works a bit differently than others in the list in that advertisers bid directly against one another for your ad inventory. The ads look like the general context ads, so they will work with Flash-based sites and sites with very little content. Minimum payout is $10 and can be done by check or PayPal.
