Create amazing content
Comment on other Blogs in the same niche
And use forums like this

It takes a few simple minutes a day to comment on other Blogs, you probably read a lot of Blogs anyway, just comment on what you think at the end of it instead of reading and leaving.

one more piece of advice. Make sure that the site, blog or article is a do follow. If it is no follow, the link will not help you. It will be a branding tool. But it will not help your link building efforts. Get the seobook extension for Firefox. That will help you determine if the site is following links or not very easily.

This really is the easiest way to do it. Virtually every niche eBook and IM course includes article marketing as a way to gain easy (and RELEVANT) backlinks.

You can spend a few hours a day just writing articles and submitting them. You can, of course, also outsource it if you have a few dollars to spend.

Totally agree, profile links are worth having but the best of all is links from quality content in the form of articles, we currently use UAW and love it, for each of our clients we write one article a month and then drip feed it out at around 15-20 a day to different article directories blogs etc..

Each site has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Most times it is enough to discover some strengths inside the market that you're in and you will be way ahead of your competition. By this I mean that each site has a specific advantage that can be capitalized when it comes to link building.

For some it is the community that the site has, for others it might be the products that they're selling, the way in which events take place in that market and so on.

The way by which you find these strengths is by doing in depth research and getting to know the market that you're in. I mean really know it.

As for best practices when it comes to link building:

Linkbait - create content that will attract links because it offers a unique point of view: fun, interesting, useful, provocative etc
Article distribution - guest blogging, distributing articles to relevant sites
Links from your customers - many approaches that you can go after here. Depends what market you're in
Blog & Site networks where you distribute articles to them
Press releases - have your content picked up by third parties
Directories relevant to your market or niche. Not the crappy ones($50 for submission to 3k). They are useless

Way to go. A lot of people go straight to strategies that will surely get back links and overlook "thinking outside of the box" and in our industry being unique, creative, and taking a risk can bring the rewards we all seek. Meaning, sticking your neck out and creating a new tool, a strange-unique article with high quality content, and top of the line copy can really speed up your SEO efforts.

The key is creating a high quantity of high-quality content

Concentrate on publishing awesome content (both on-site and off), and the backlinks will come. If you are writing stuff that other people find interesting and want to link to, you will be just fine.

Where do you need to publish stuff?? On article directories, do some guest blogging, use social bookmarking/networking sites to promote your content, find some related forums and share your knowledge. The possibilities are endless!

Just whatever you do, don't buy links. That can be said of link exchanges or direct link sales. These might help you in the short run but you run the very real and very immediate risk of being banned from the search engines completely.

Great point! There are alot of folks out there who think buy/trading links is the way to go. It's a very dangerous road to go down, one that can leave you alot worse off than when you started.

There's no substitute for getting backlinks the legitimate, natural way - through great content. Yes, it may take longer than just buying a bunch of links, but it's definitely worth it!

Writing informative articles is a great way to create back links.
Great way to create links and sell as well is to create video clips that tell your story or sell your product in an interesting way.
Social networks like myspace.com are great ways to create quality links.
Blogs want comments from readers. Visit blogs on similar topics to yours and on any popular blogs, leave a comment on a posting.

In addition to writing quality content, you must also submit your blog there, so others can see. Submit to blog carnivals and blog directories so people can find it. You could have incredible content, but not good for you if you can find online. Also a link to your blog based on comments that it is a good way of potential traffic, causing backlinks.

Article submission is a very good way but it can not be used for internal pages of a website in most cases. The only way you can use for getting backlinks for both home page and internal pages of a website is social bookmarking.

This isn't true. Most article distribution sites allow you to have 2 links in your resource box. Choose one that deep links to your product page, and 1 that links to your homepage.

If you're not sure how the best people do this, go to a couple article sites and review the resource box of some of their 'top' articles (written by people who write lots of articles).

1) Become a member in SEOBDB.com
2) Create project
3) Find relevant backlinks either by searching with keyword or filtering with Google PR, Alexa ranking etc.
4) Get backlinks

Quality depends on what backlinks you choose.. you can either do it not so smart way and blast ten thousand backlinks or you can drip feed your backlinks, either way works with SEOBDB

You have asked about the "Holy Grail" of internet marketing. But yes, quality is better than quanity. There are hundreds of different answers and methods to get backlinks and from what I can tell.....They all can work, or at least help. So, choose the method that is easiest for you (because no one really enjoy's doing backlinks) and just get busy. Good Luck!

Quality content is great, but it does not lead to links unless you do some linking first. Don't just build content and then sit back and do nothing. Big mistake. How will anyone find it unless it already has links? I've tested this one to the end, don't believe the hype. I've put up pages with masses of free stuff, articles better than wikipedia, etc etc. (my articles are tight, I used to work as a professional researcher) They got no links and no traffic until after I had given the links a good shove. Once people are finding you, you get links. Links lead to links. No links lead to no links.

Google loves pure and unique content so 1st step is unique content. If you live your site with extra ordinary content which will be informative for your audience. Second thing is keyword research, If you add appropriate keywords related to particular web page then Google gives more priority to that web page in SERP. Third and main thing is links, if you gather some quality links from related niche then automatically you get lot of quality back links. Have a nice time.

Sorry dude, not true. If that were the case, your competitor would buy links to your site to get it banned and then have no competition. All search engines can do is devalue links and penalize the sites that sell links. Not the recipients of links.

Now simply put these 2 post together. We all know that there are virtually hundreds of ways to do this and everyone has there "attributes" or things they are good at doing. so it is as easy as research as many ways as you can to build links to your site. there will be several methods that can be thought of so go out and figure which one you are best at doing then take the others and outsource them.

after about 1 week you will see some traffic after about 1 month you can actually analyze the traffic and see whats working and what is not.

then you have to figure if its the person doing it or the actual method if its the method. Can it be altered to work better, or is it just a slow method that builds solidity? Or is it working at all?

you see analyze analyze but you must do a lot of what you are good at and if you can learn how to get good at the other stuff as well!

I found that many copy content sites have a good rank in google, there might be many reason for that, one is the whole site is made of static pages! Fully be created by hand but better results. It is not so fair...what do you think?
