Got an easy question here, at least it's easy when you understand SEO.

Here goes -

I am a blogger and I am beginning to understand the power of headlines. What I have found is that the more creative my headline is, the more traffic that I am able to drive.

For example: My last post was about closet organizers and the headline that I used and did pretty well with was "Do You Know Where Your Stuff Is?"

My question is this - am I hurting myself by not having a keyword in my headline? I could have used a headline like "How to Organize Your Closet" but, I find that those kind of headlines are boring and do not stir interest while my headline did.

I appreciate your opinions.

I always believe that keywords in headlines count. With blogging, long titles chalk full of keywords are great. How about something like:
"How to Organize Your Closet - Do You Know Where Your Stuff Is?"

The head line for SEO is the keyword as a title.

Thanks guys, that was the info that I was looking for - not the one that I wanted, but the answer that I needed. Now I just have to create interesting headlines using keywords.
