Rank 4 but very little traffic

My 1 week site currently ranks 4 in Google from 1 million pages. The keyword is a product name. Rank 1 and 2 are big companies which produce their own product. Rank 3 is Amazon page. Keyword has 110,000 searches /month. CPC: $1.6. I only get 1 traffic per day currently.

What do you think? Should I still focus on this niche?

No, I wouldn't give up on it. The site is one week old?

Even though the keyword is a product name, there are
other phrases you can use on your site that contain the name.
The difference between position 4 and 1, in terms of
traffic, is much greater due to the various changes including
video, news, etc in the search results.

I wouldn't base your decision solely with your experience with
one keyword/phrase. You can use other approaches to create
    a presence in the serps.

Yeah, it's one week old, or maybe two. My concern is people don't look at rank 4, because the top three gives what user want.

Not always true. It depends on the search term and what the three
above you offer in their listings.

I would do more keyword research and find other phrases to use. But
keep in mind the estimated search volume numbers can be over/under
estimated. They are not always accurate.

Also... don't forget what I mentioned about using other methods to gain
high SE positions. Plus, depending on your market, you can get your offer
in front of them in ways other than Google's SE results.

  • Are you looking at exact searches or broad for the search volume? I agree with Ken, you probably want to focus on more than one specific search term or phrase for traffic.

It's broad. Yeah I'm trying to do other related keyword too. I haven't see the competition for the other keyword.
